Greater Liberty Ride for MS
By the time you read this list, other sponsors will have come to our aid. The list keeps growing and is updated daily on our www.greaterliberty.org web site. Please patronize these good places when you can. Tell them you appreciate their help with our ride.

Biscari Brothers Bicycles
Biscari Brothers Bicycles
884 S. 291 Hwy
Liberty, MO
Just after the sun comes up every Saturday morning of the year we gather in front of Biscari Brothers Bicycles. Few of us on cold or windy days. Many in spring and fall. Some in summer heat. We ride to breakfast in nearby towns. We tell stories over breakfast. Our signature ride takes places on the weekend before Memorial Day every year. The Greater Liberty Ride for MS. Dave and Bob Biscari set up a tent in front of their shop. They throw a party. They keep our bikes on the road. They give us stuff. They make it happen. With fanfare and panache this day. With dependable service and good advice all the year. Thanks, Dave. Thanks, Bob.

McDonalds
McDonalds
5 Area locations
McDonald’s has been a loyal and generous sponsor of our Greater Liberty Bike Ride for MS since we began in 2003. They have made it possible for us to raise thousands of dollars to help those who live every day with the limitations imposed by Multiple Sclerosis. The Essig Management Company owns and operates multiple McDonald’s—Liberty, Barry Road, North Liberty, Claycomo, Excelsior Springs and Kearney—and their support has helped us multiply the number of riders we attract and the amount of money we raise. All of us who live and work and ride in Greater Liberty are deeply grateful for McDonald’s magnificent munificence.

Price Chopper
Price Chopper
896 S. 291 Hwy.
Liberty, MO
Liberty Price Chopper is a major sponsor of our Greater Liberty Ride for MS every year. This good store furnishes everything we need to feed our riders and make them happy. Thanks to Price Chopper, we feed our riders well, both during the ride and afterward when we return to Biscari Brothers Bicycles for a cookout. Many people for miles in all directions know how generous Liberty Price Chopper is to our Greater Liberty Ride for MS. Our hundreds of riders, their friends and families, will come to Price Chopper to buy their groceries. Price Chopper helps us raise great sums of money for MS and will bring their good store a rush of hungry folks eager to repay their generosity. Thanks to Manager Lou DeMarco.

Mill Inn
415 St. Louis
Excelsior Springs, MO
Even before the OPEN sign blinks on every morning, the regulars come to sit in the dark and nurse their coffee as they pick up conversations from yesterday. This place where everybody knows your name makes their own pies. When a regular misses a few days, a staff member goes to see about them. For years Mill Inn has been a regular and frequent stop on all my rides. I’ve made friends and memories. Owner, Evelyn Cowsert, Manager, Kay Stewart, and all the warm-hearted, efficient and familiar-as-family staff make all visits here seem all too short and much to seldom. Mill Inn has been and continues to be an enthused and eager sponsor of our Greater Liberty Ride for MS.

Liberty UPS Store
844 S. 291 Hwy.
Liberty, MO
Our route maps will be collector items. On the day of our ride they will guide even the most direction-challenged and map-phobic to the appointed places. They are full color, precise works of art. This map draws the eye, informs the mind and holds the heart. Seth McMenemy, one of our Saturday regulars, designed the map. Cecilia Lee, owner of the Liberty UPS Store made its mass full color printing possible. She quickly said YES when I asked her to donate 200 color maps for our ride for MS. Thank you, Cecilia. We will spread word of your goodness and ask all our friends to patronize your store at 844 S. 291 Hwy. in Liberty.

Heartland Chevrolet
I-35 and 291 Hwy.
Liberty, MO
Ted Potts is owner of Heartland Chevrolet and Howard Lonsdale is General Manager. Heartland donated the use of new vehicles for our Greater Liberty Ride for MS. The festive ambiance of our gathering place was enhanced with a dazzling display of these fine vehicles. And when a few riders had bike problems, these new cars and trucks transported them in comfort and style to a place where help waited. Thanks, Ted and Howard and Heartland Chevrolet.

Excelsior Springs
The City Manager of Excelsior Springs, Darren Hennen, has adopted our Greater Liberty Ride for MS as a priority project. Through his good offices, the Hall of Waters, the Excelsior Springs Hospital and the Police Department have offered invaluable help. The Hall of Waters is serving as a rest stop for riders and providing bottles of their famed mineral water. Fire Chief, Bill Stewart, has his EMT standing by. The hospital is on call for any emergency that might arise. And the police have helped plan our route around the road work in progress. Excelsior Springs has welcomed us and made it possible for our ride to raise more money for MS than would have been possible without their enthusiastic embracing of our mission. Thank you, Excelsior Springs.

Liberty
Our hometown has given its name to our ride. And with its name, captured our mission: To set at liberty those who live with limitations imposed by MS. Everything that we need to care for and feed 200 bike riders has been given to us. Businesses are helping. The police department is helping. The hospital is helping. The Chamber of Commerce is helping. Because of this outpouring of community support, every dollar that riders pay to ride and every dollar donated by those who support our ride goes totally to the Mid-America Chapter of the MS Society to fund research into the causes of MS and provide help to those who must live every day with the limitations MS imposes on their lives. Thank you Liberty
